We strongly encourage you to sign up on the website and schedule a time. At this time, we do not handle appointments over the phone. The information you provide during the registration up will be securely stored and safely on our encrypted servers and transmitted to our laboratories.

All insurers are covering 100% of the visit & PCR testing costs as part of national emergency plan. Cost-share waiver means you will not be responsible for copays or deductibles (even for high-deductible plans).
First. Don’t worry. Your insurance will receive a bill from our physician partners as well as our laboratory partners. You may receive a notice in the mail, called an explanation of benefits (EOB). This is not a bill. Your insurance company is letting you know how much they are paying. You are not responsible for any portion not paid by your insurance. You will not receive any balance bill from our physician or laboratory partners. If you do, please reach out to support@rapidcovidtest.nyc
Praesidium Diagnostics COVID-19 Priority PCR tests cost $195/per test. We expedite delivery time to the lab with our own drivers and pay extra to have these samples processed first. However, we do offer superbills, which can be shown to most insurances for reimbursement if you decide to pay upfront for priority.
We use a custom-built and fully integrated software system connecting our clinical staff and partner laboratories. This allows us to deliver the fastest turnaround times consistently.

You will be emailed a PDF of your test results that is valid for travel. If you require ONLY an additional signature and passport number on your results page, you may email a PDF copy of your results to info@rapidcovidtest.nyc with “Need Signature and Passport Number” in the subject line. Please ensure that you indicate your required timeframe within your request and we will do our best to accommodate you.

For all additional documentation, including a doctor’s signature or lab seal, please purchase using a Fit to Fly tool (https://quick.md/fit-to-fly-certificate/) This is a separate service that we do not provide at this time. As the holiday season picks up, we will not be able to respond to, nor are we responsible for, doctor requests. We want to reiterate we are a testing center and not a doctor’s office.; We are working on adding these capabilities to Rapid Covid Test, NYC’s services and will update our website once they’re available. Thank you for understanding!

A diagnostic test can show if you have an active coronavirus infection and will determine whether you need to take steps to quarantine or isolate yourself from others. PCR tests detect the virus’ genetic material and are considered the gold standard for COVID-19 testing.
We offer the Rapid Antigen test from BD. The sample is collected via nasal swab and the results will be available within 15 minutes as the samples will be processed on-site with the BD Plus Analyzer. You will not receive a lab report when booking the Rapid Antigen test. Please find more information about the test and its performance here. FDA summary.
No, the test will not hurt! Our test kits are validated for anterior nasal collection, which means that the swab is inserted less than one inch into the nostril. This collection process is much more comfortable than the nasopharygeal collection used in most hospitals and public testing locations.
Simply book an appointment on our website. Arrive at the testing site during your scheduled time. Once there, our clinicians will guide you through the next steps.
You will receive an e-mail with login information to our portal once the results are back from the lab. You will be able to download your result report as .pdf to easily share it with your employer, family or Airline.
Yes, absolutely. We have trained nurses and CMAs on site, who can keep your child company while you are tested, and parents can remain in the testing area while their children are tested. You can also stay with your child to confort him/ her. To help prepare your child for their testing experience, share a little with them about why they are being tested. Explain that our staff will be wearing masks and face shields to keep people safe, and that they are very nice. You can also share with your child that the nurse or CMA will rub the inside of their nose with a cotton swab and that it may tickle a bit, but it won’t hurt them.

Go to the Testing site 5 minutes prior to your appointment time. If you come a bit earlier or later we will be able to accommodate.
